Hey all.

As a system builder / general tech support guy, I incounter a few situations where I have to ask for sited help a bit more often than I like.
I'm pretty sure that most of the stuff that I want to do on my own is next to impossible, but if this is the case then i'll just let this topic get berried.
Raid:
I can't set up arrays my self due to the cards software interface kicking in before the os. If anyone knows a good raid card that will let me configgure the array through some lie cd or at least let me script the configguration so that its unattended i'd be greatfull.
Thermal paste:
Probably due to paranoier more than anything else, but if the cpu or heatsink doesn't have paste on it, I get someone sited to do it. Some socket 775 cpu's require the paste to be put in betwien the 2 cores if my memory serves me correctly but after feeling a dead cpu I can't tell where this is. Some other older cpu's require the paste to be spread out consistantly around the cpu but out of fear of breaking things or gettin the paste dirty, I usually settle for a dollop in the exact centre and let the weight of the hs distribute it. If anyone has some more efficiant ways of doing this then please share.
Bios:
The time old question of how to access the bios. I've sceen someone on here mension a card that let the user control it via a serial interface but it was something like $250. If anyone knows a cheaper method than this or wants to brainstorm one then i'd be verry interested.

Any thoughts are welcome.
